Sandy Angus is Chairman of Andry Montgomery Ltd the holding company for a group of international companies in the field of exhibition organising, venue management and consultancy. Several of the exhibitions organised by this company, including the Interbuild brand which was founded 109 years ago, are part of the widely renowned Montgomery exhibition companies. These include events in India, South Africa, Russia, Poland as well as the UK and Ireland.
Sandy Angus has worked in the exhibition industry since 1968, when he was resident in South Africa. This has involved working roles at every level of the business and in every individual specialisation.
He has just retired as President of the Union des Foires International in October 2003, where he remains a vice president, he is Chairman Elect of the Dallas based International Association of Exhibition Managers (IAEM) and a director and former Chairman of the Association of Exhibition Organisers in the UK.
His connections through the international world of exhibitions are without parallel and his experience of all the major halls and cities is very extensive having been involved in running fairs in many of them. He lectures extensively throughout the world extolling the virtues of exhibitions and the wealth creating benefits which they bring to the cities in which they take place.
He is a Freeman of the City of London. He is currently Master of the Worshipful Company of Tylers and Bricklayers
Through the London School of Health and Tropical Hygiene he is involved in treatment of malnutrition and has been involved in the education and funding of various projects to minimise the global mortality rate in this field.
