Ms. GAO Yan Vice Chairman, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade(CCPIT)

Mme. Gao Yan, of Han nationality, was born in November 1958 in Jiaohe, Hebei Province. She graduated in 1982 from the Renmin University of China.

Mme. Gao Yan started her career in March 1977, and has worked successively as Deputy Director and later Director in the General Office, the Ministry of Foreign Trade. She became Deputy Director General of the General Office, the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation in June 1995, Director General and Spokesperson of the Office in January 2001, and Director General of the General Office, Director General of the Information Office, and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce in June 2003. She was appointed as Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Chamber of International Commerce in August 2003.
