Robert W. Priest-Heck is president and chief executive officer of MediaLive International Inc. MediaLive International owns such renowned media brands such as COMDEX, NetWorld+Interop, Business Communications Review magazine, Seybold Seminars and Publishing, the NGN Conference Series, and VoiceCon, and WingateWeb event management software.
Mr. Priest-Heck is charged with leading an experienced, invigorated executive team to leverage live marketing programs to help bring companies to market and provide education that moves buyers toward adoption. MediaLive International's mission, as defined by Mr. Priest-Heck, is to re-set industry benchmarks so as to connect buyers and sellers in a meaningful, ongoing way. He is the driving force behind MediaLive International's commitment to quality and customer service.
Mr. Priest-Heck's experience with MediaLive International brands extends to its early days when the company was known as ZD Events. Since 1991, he has helped to build the world's largest IT event marketing company. As operational strategist, Mr. Priest-Heck orchestrated the acquisition and consolidation of the brands that today comprise MediaLive International's greatest assets. He launched its successful Studios division, which produces events for clients. In 2004, Mr. Priest-Heck devised the strategy for acquiring WingateWeb, the leading provider of event management software, to raise the quality and increase the capabilities of MediaLive International's events, and to integrate the robust technology solution with Studios, establishing Wingate Studios, to raise the effectiveness and efficiencies of company-sponsored and industry association events.
During his tenure with the company, Mr. Priest-Heck has served in a variety of positions, including chief operation officer, executive vice president of International Operations. Prior to joining ZD Events, Mr. Priest-Heck held a variety of senior management positions with Hyatt Hotels Corporation.
