Dr. Hermann Kresse，CEO and Member of the Board of AUMA - Association of the German Trade Fair Industry, studied Law and Economics in Saarbruecken and Pairs.

After having worked for the Institute of European Law in Saarbruecken, he joined the Public Broadcasting Company ARD in 1982 as assistant to the director of the Saarlaendischer Rundfunk and to the management of the public relations branch of the Werbefunk Saar GmbH.

In 1985, he became head of the electronic media department at the Association of the German Advertising Industry in Bonn.

From 1989 on Dr. Kresse was actively involved in establishing Germany's leading private broadcaster RTL Television as consolidated market leader. He started work at RTL as head of Human Resources and Legal/Media Policy, Business Affairs and Investment. At the same time he held the position of CEO for RTL plus Hessen Television, representing RTL in numerous national and international committees.

In 1996, Dr. Kresse took on the CEO position at AUMA, and since May 1997 he has been a member of the Board. Besides, he acts as managing director of the AUMA media service gmbh.

Dr. Kresse is married, has two children, and has been living in Berlin since 2001, when AUMA moved to Germany's capital.
